About Crafty Bunch

Aman Virdi

As a primary school teacher with over 20 years experience, I've learnt that children learn best when they are genuinely enjoying themselves. When they are absorbed in something, curious and a bit messy - that's where the magic happens. That belief is at the heart of everything that I do at Crafty Bunch.  No perfect outcomes.  Just children (and adults) getting stuck in and discovering what they love.

A lifelong love of making

My passion for art and crafts goes back to childhood.  I picked up my first set of knitting needles at primary school and was immediately hooked.  Later, my Nan sat with me and taught me how to sew, sharing the kind of slow, patient knowledge that you can't find in a book.

What this means for your child

Running my art and craft business isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to pass on exactly what was passed on to me.  The patience of sitting with a child until they figure something out.  The delight in watching them hold up something they have made with their own hands.

Whether your child is already craft obsessed or has never picked up a paintbrush, they’ll find their footing with us.

Staff

I work alongside my mum who has a wealth of experience within a school setting as a teaching assistant and also as a school counsellor.

She loves to create with a carefree nature, reminding me that the fun is the process, not just the finished article!
